What Are Adult Day Services?


Adult Day Services are community based programs that offer a wide range of services to socially isolated, chronically ill, disabled, frail, at risk adults and seniors in the community.  A variety of professional staff provides high quality care within a congregate setting. Adult Day Services is an integral part of the community service network and the long-term care continuum.

Who Benefits From Adult Day Services?

  • Adults of all ages requiring supervision, increased socialization, nursing assistance, help with personal care and other daily activities. These individuals generally live in the community and need services to improve or maintain their current level of functioning.
  • Families and caregivers who have a responsibility for an adult relative or friend.
